Field Technician, North-East
Zehnder America, Inc.

This full-time position reports functionally to the current Zehnder’s National Service Manager.

Location: Our Hampton, New Hampshire office when not traveling in the field. Relocation preferred but not required initially.

While other specific tasks might be assigned by the employer, the main duties and responsibilities would include:

  • Provide Technical Support on installed Zehnder projects in the North-East, over the phone, by email or directly on-site. Would be expected to start by learning how to service our units.
  • Perform occasional commissioning/balancing after installation of Heat and Energy Recovery ventilation systems in the field and learn the process from our online commission inquiry to filling out proper documentation and sending job request to be performed by 3rd party agents.
  • Assist with local technical and maintenance trainings for installers, 3rd party commissioning agents and HVAC contractors in the North-East region.

Qualification required for this position:

  • A minimum 5 years of field/service hands-on experience in related HVAC service industry or high-performance buildings.
  • A minimum 2 years of formal technical education such as: mechanics, physics, Indoor Air Quality or flow dynamics.
  • Above average computer skills, email, drawings…
  • Good written communication and verbal presentation skills.
  • 50% to 75% local travel to be expected, with some occasional over-night travels.

North-East Regional Technical Sales Representative
Zehnder America, Inc.

Position reporting to: VP/Head of Comfosystems Business Unit

  1. Develop a targeted network of builders, architects, engineers and HVAC contractors in the territory by attending events within the building community.
  2. Follow-up on new sales leads and quoted project leads within territory in collaboration with Inside Sales.
  3. Coordinate with other regional sales representatives to develop new leads, as appropriate.
  4. Attend regional and national trade shows and conferences and provide assistance with set-up and breakdown where appropriate.
  5. Work with Service Manager and Customer Service to handle after-sales related issues.
  6. Facilitate appointments and training opportunities for our in-house design expert.


The candidate must possess a relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with preferably 5 years of sales experience in the residential construction field.
