Zehnder ComfoFlex Splicing
In this video you will learn how to splice our ComfoFlex tubing to make for longer runs that ensure air tightness.
Zehnder ComfoFlex Installation
In this video, you will learn how to attach the ComfoFlex onto the register box to ensure an air tight seal. ComfoFlex is used in some projects, and has a different attachment process than ComfoTubing.
ZEHNDER HRV WITH GROUND SOURCE PRE-HEATER HIGH-PERFORMANCE IN AN EXTREME COLD CLIMATE
In this presentation in Fairbanks, Alaska (Part 2), you’ll learn how a Zehnder Heat Recovery Ventilator with a Ground Source Pre-heater ensures that the incoming fresh filtered air, even in extreme -50 below temperatures, comes into the home only a few degrees below room temperature. This ensures a healthy, comfortable and energy-efficient indoor climate.
ZEHNDER HIGH-EFFICIENCY HRVS/ERVS- OPTIMAL INDOOR AIR QUALITY FOR ENERGY-EFFICIENT CONSTRUCTION
In this presentation from Fairbanks, Alaska (Part 1), you’ll learn about the role of the Zehnder High-Efficiency Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) or Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) in a healthy, comfortable and energy-efficient home.
ZEHNDER HRV & ERV COMFOSYSTEMS, REPLACING YOUR FILTERS
In this video, you’ll learn how to identify your ComfoSystem HRV or ERV ventilation device and filters, and when to change your filters.
In an energy-efficient building, it is important to have a ventilation strategy to promote a continuous supply of fresh filtered air in the building. Clean filters ensure high efficiency for the HRV or ERV and optimal indoor air quality for the building.
ZEHNDER’S COMFOAIR 350 ERV IN SUSTAINABLE SERENBE COMMUNITY (OUTSIDE ATLANTA)
Zehnder’s ComfoAir 350 ERV ensures fresh-filtered air and a reduction of heating/cooling loads year-round while reduces the indoor humidity level during hot, humid Southeast summers. As a result, electricity bills are reduced and a comfortable indoor environment is achieved for the energy-efficient home year-round.
PASSIVE HOUSES IN BROOKLYN AND ZEHNDER VENTILATION SYSTEM
Brooklyn Independent Television gives a great look at some Passive Houses in Brooklyn aiming to reduce heating and cooling by up to 90% and using Zehnder Ventilation.
The whole house heat recovery ventilation system works continuously to extract moist, stale air from wet rooms (kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms) and supply fresh, filtered air to habitable rooms (bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms). Up to 90% of the heat in the extract air is recovered by the heat exchanger in the unit and used to heat the incoming fresh air.
KARUNA PASSIVE HOUSE HRV SUPPLY REGISTER
Beside being quiet, the Zehnder HRV is visually discreet. In this video, Skylar of Hammer & Hand takes a walk through the house and shows us the small supply and exhaust ports. He also explains why controlled, balanced ventilation makes sense in any house: Besides saving energy, increasing comfort, and guaranteeing good indoor air quality all year round, it’s really the only way to know where the house’s makeup air is coming from.
KARUNA PASSIVE HOUSE VENTILATION SYSTEM
Jonathan Cohen, owner of Imagine Energy explains how the Karuna House’s heat recovery ventilator captures 90% of the heat from the exhaust air. The Zehnder unit delivers comfortably warm, fresh air throughout the house while using very little energy and making almost no sound.

HAYWARD LUMBER EXPLAINS ZEHNDER’S ROLE IN A HEALTHY HIGH PERFORMANCE HOME
Zehnder’s California Dealer, Hayward Lumber, describes the importance of continuous ventilation and how Zehnder’s system ensures a healthy indoor environment.
ALLEN GILLILAND OF ONE SKY HOMES SHOWS HOW THE ZEHNDER HRV PROVIDES CONSTANT FRESH AIR
Allen Gilliland of One Sky Homes describes the importance of designing and building to ensure optimal indoor air quality in a high performance home. In the video, he shows how the Zehnder balanced ventilation system provides continuous fresh air to the home.
SONYA NEWENHOUSE OF MADISON ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP DESCRIBES THE ZEHNDER VENTILATION SYSTEM INSTALLED IN THE NEWENHOUSE
Sonya Newenhouse of Madison Environmental Group is describing how the HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilation Unit) works in the super air tight, super insulated NewenHouse. It’s critical to have an ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation Unit) or HRV in an air tight house to make sure fresh air is circulated into each room and exhausting kitchen and bathroom air.
JOHN SUPPES OF CLARUM HOMES DESCRIBES THE ZEHNDER HRV
John Suppes of Clarum Homes explains the Zehnder Heat Recovery Ventilator System at the Menlo Passive Project. One of the keys to a passive home’s efficiency is its air tightness. This means that it’s essential to have a system that brings in fresh air to the house. All air coming into the house is filtered through a Merv 13 air filter. This means all of the air in the home is clean – free of pollens and particulates.
