| 1895 | Jakob Zehnder (born 1855) sets up a mechanical workshop in Granichen, Switzerland. Zehnder Group AG continues to be located on the same plot of land to this day. |

| 1923 |
J. Zehnder & Sohne commence production of Zehnder motorcycles. The Zehnder motorcycle brand becomes very popular throughout Europe, and as far away as Singapore, Indonesia. This enthusiasm leads to the formation of Zehnderli clubs in Europe. |

| 1930 | Financial difficulties associated with The Great Depression forces the Zehnder brothers, the 2nd generation to work at the company, to resign from the motorcycle business. The Zehnder brothers, having learned the art of welding steel tubing while developing the motorcycle business, apply that knowledge to manufacturing tubular steel radiators for heating homes and businesses. |

| 1959 | The 3rd generation of the Zehnder family assume management at the company. |

| 1984 | Zehnder Holding AG established (all companies subject to the same management). | |
| 1993 | Hans-Peter Zehnder, the 4th generation of Zehnder management, assumes the Chairmanship of the Executive Committee at Zehnder Holding AG. |

| 2001 | Company renamed Zehnder Group AG. Acquires J.E. Stork Air and enters the comfort ventilation market. Zehnder Comfosystems is developed out of this new channel. Comfosystems is one of the first integrated geothermal heating/cooling/heat recovery ventilation systems in the world. Zehnder America, Inc incorporated in the United States to import and market Zehnder products for the North American market. |
